Clean, well maintained, very friendly staff, rates are very good! One of the best Motels I have been to recently, and this includes larger chains. This beautiful older motel reminds me why they are there, lower cost options that do not feel lower cost. Even the biggest TV I have had in a room period. Toilet paper in a point, all the nice touches that make it feel like a home away from home.

Very clean, friendly staff, simple rooms and a good price. Good WiFi. The TVs are a little small, but not an issue for me, as I use my own screens anyway. The walls are not very sound proof so if other guests are noisy it can be an issue. The highway noise can also be an issue, but traffic does settle down at night. They have decent AC for summer and plenty of heat in the winter. (I’ve stayed there in both seasons) Beds are comfortable and the bathrooms, while a bit small, are clean and functional. Their location, prices, comfort and staff get them 4 stars. The thin walls and noisy highway (which they can’t do much about) loose them a star. I’ve always liked “old school” traditional independent motels, and this one is a gem. I recommend them, and will be staying there again.

Not a 5 star resort by any means, but it has everything you need for its price. It was the perfect layover for our drive to the west coast. The attendant that we checked in last night was phenomenal and extremely helpful!

Best place in Port Alberni to stay. We moved from Ontario and stayed for 2 months, it was a long term stay til we were able to move into our new home. The rooms are very clean and well equipped and Susan and her staff were incredible and always eager to help us. I would tell anyone this place is the place to stay short or long term. Thanks Cheryl and June Spooner
